About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, responses to office actions, and other filings related to trademark prosecution
- Oversee U.S. and international trademark portfolios, including coordination with foreign associates and clients
- Conduct trademark availability searches and draft summaries of results
- Research and prepare cost estimates for domestic and foreign trademark filings and renewals
- Draft and file IR/Madrid international applications and WIPO renewals
- Manage and maintain dockets in CPI, tracking deadlines and preparing reports
- Conduct IP due diligence covering trademarks, patents, copyrights, and domain names
- Assist with the preparation and filing of TTAB proceedings
- Draft trademark assignments, security agreements, and record ownership transfers
- Maintain and update files in iManage and electronic storage systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an Am Law 100 environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and substantive paralegal experience
- Superior analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficiency with CPI (or similar docket platform)
- Proficiency in Westlaw, CompuMark/Saegis, and Orbit Intelligence preferred
