Intellectual Property Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, responses to office actions, and other filings related to trademark prosecution
• Oversee U.S. and international trademark portfolios, including coordination with foreign associates and clients
• Conduct trademark availability searches and draft summaries of results
• Research and prepare cost estimates for domestic and foreign trademark filings and renewals
• Draft and file IR/Madrid international applications and WIPO renewals
• Manage and maintain dockets in CPI, tracking deadlines and preparing reports
• Conduct IP due diligence covering trademarks, patents, copyrights, and domain names
• Assist with the preparation and filing of TTAB proceedings
• Draft trademark assignments, security agreements, and record ownership transfers
• Maintain and update files in iManage and electronic storage systems

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in an Am Law 100 environment
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and substantive paralegal experience
• Superior analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Proficiency with CPI (or similar docket platform)
• Proficiency in Westlaw, CompuMark/Saegis, and Orbit Intelligence preferred
