About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of corrosion control standards, AMPP practices, and DOT regulatory requirements.
  • Create and improve corrosion management processes to ensure integrity, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Participate in root cause failure analysis investigations when incidents occur.
  • Review and maintain company standards and generate new standards to improve performance.
  • Interact with PHMSA during incident investigations or audits of corrosion processes and records.
  • Assist with Corrosion Control Services projects, including scope development, budgeting, and implementation support.
  • Manage third-party consultants and integrate their results into company processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across MPL, Terminals, and Refining to provide corrosion control on assets.
  • Provide technical design basis for corrosion control components on major capital projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
  • Valid driver's license for travel to field locations and industry meetings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of employees.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
