Integration Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integration modules that forward security events from the Reconeyez backend to third-party platforms like Milestone.
• Develop and optimize the alarm forwarding pipeline to ensure reliable, real-time delivery of security events.
• Automate integration workflows to improve scalability across customer deployments.
• Design and extend integration APIs to enable new third-party connections with minimal custom code.
• Containerize and deploy integration services using Docker or Podman.
• Monitor and troubleshoot live integrations, diagnosing issues across system boundaries.
• Collaborate on architectural decisions regarding the distribution of business logic between cloud and client-side systems.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java or Go.
• Experience with Docker and/or Podman for containerized deployments.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and message/alarm forwarding patterns.
• Proven experience integrating with third-party APIs and platforms (VMS, security platforms, etc.).
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to research and ship solutions independently.
• High attention to detail regarding error handling, edge cases, and data integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with video management systems such as Milestone or Genetec.
• Experience with security/surveillance industry protocols like ONVIF.
• Knowledge of WebSocket, gRPC, or webhook-based event delivery.
• Experience working with embedded/IoT systems or bridge devices.
