Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, design standards, and operational health of the Workato platform
• Design and build production recipes connecting Salesforce, NetSuite, Shopify, Zendesk, Snowflake, and other systems
• Lead cross-system technical-debt reduction programs and set integration design standards
• Own EDI vendor evaluation, implementation, and B2B partner onboarding
• Manage SFTP infrastructure and secure file-transfer services
• Partner with AI Platform Architects to ensure data quality for AI agents
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and root-cause analysis for integration incidents
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and architectural diagrams

Requirements

• 5+ years building and operating enterprise integrations between SaaS systems
• Deep hands-on experience with an iPaaS platform (Workato preferred)
• Strong knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and JSON/XML
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or an equivalent scripting language
• Demonstrated ability to lead platform-modernization programs
• Strong communication skills for translating architecture to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• EDI experience (ANSI X12, retail trading-partner onboarding)
• Experience with master data management or canonical data layers
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Shopify, Zendesk, or Snowflake
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools
• Familiarity with Fivetran, dbt, or Cloudflare Workflows
