Integrated Pest Management Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor pest activity in various environments
• Identify pests and assess infestation levels using scientific knowledge and monitoring tools
• Develop and implement effective IPM strategies based on pest biology and environmental conditions
• Apply control methods including cultural, mechanical, biological, and chemical techniques
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, and pest activity trends
• Calibrate and maintain equipment used for pest control and monitoring
• Comply with GMP, biosecurity, sanitation, and PPE requirements

Requirements

• Previous experience in horticulture, nursery, entomology, or plant pathology
• Pesticide Applicator Certification required within 90 days of employment
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Proficiency in Excel and data collection
• Ability to follow written instructions and product labels
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must pass background checks and be approved by the D.O.A. for an Agent badge

Preferred Qualifications

• Research skills and familiarity with the scientific method
• Experience in a fast-paced, start-up environment
