Integrated Modular Avionics Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, focusing on professional development and fostering an inclusive atmosphere
• Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals, quality, and safety
• Partner with suppliers to establish project plans and ensure compliance with technical requirements
• Maintain resource and skill forecasts to effectively meet project demands
• Lead initiatives to enhance engineering processes and products through innovation and proactive problem-solving
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and certification processes through effective technical oversight
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and global teams

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, manager, or large-scale cross-functional project management) or completion of Boeing's internal leadership course

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Experience in the development, integration, and verification of aircraft systems
• Knowledge of FAA certification processes and safety analysis
• Experience with qualification testing or lab testing
• Proven track record of managing risks and issues to resolution
• Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development
