About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the intake process, including booking, conducting, and documenting client assessments.
- Maintain and actively manage the accommodation waitlist through regular client engagement.
- Undertake risk assessments to determine client suitability for services using a needs-based approach.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders across homelessness and community service networks.
- Provide clear information to clients regarding their rights, responsibilities, and program expectations.
- Complete accurate data entry, reporting, referrals, and administrative tasks using client record management systems.
- Deliver community development activities and workshops to promote connection and wellbeing among residents.
Requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of intake, assessment, and triage processes within community services or homelessness settings.
- Experience supporting clients with complex needs, including housing instability, mental health, or AOD challenges.
- Strong administrative capability with a proactive approach to documentation and data management.
- Cultural capability and respect, including sound knowledge of Aboriginal cultural systems and protocols.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in community services (preferably within homelessness or housing).
- Valid First Aid & CPR certificate.
- Full driver licence with no restrictions.
