Insurance Verification Specialist

Responsibilities

• Conduct benefit investigations by making outbound calls to payers to verify insurance information
• Verify patient-specific benefits including coverage, cost share, and provider options
• Document and initiate the prior authorization process and claims appeals
• Identify coverage restrictions and navigate complex reimbursement barriers
• Act as a liaison between field representatives, healthcare providers, and patients
• Report reimbursement trends or coverage delays to management

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of benefit investigation experience involving insurance coverage analysis
• 2 to 3 years of experience interacting with healthcare providers regarding insurance requirements
• In-depth understanding of Major Medical and Pharmacy Benefit Coverage
• Excellent verbal communication skills and grammar

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce system experience
