About the role
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or voicemail
- Greet customers and direct them to the correct department or individual
- Schedule appointments and meetings for management
- Sort and deliver mail, including scanning documents into the agency management system
- Assist with clerical duties such as filing, copying, and computer input
- Assist with accepting customer payments
- Order office supplies and maintain regular attendance
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and co-workers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate office machines like switchboards and copy machines
- Willingness to learn insurance products and agency software
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior knowledge of insurance products and services
- Possession of relevant insurance licenses
