Insurance Counsel

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate P&C insurance and reinsurance agreements, product filings, policy forms, and claims documentation
• Provide legal guidance on P&C product development, compliance, and launch strategy
• Collaborate with internal and client teams on new product initiatives and regulatory filings
• Advise on claims handling, processing procedures, policy interpretation, and dispute resolution
• Support insurance and reinsurance deal processes, including due diligence and structuring

Requirements

• 8-14 years of experience in insurance law with a focus on Property & Casualty
• Hands-on experience with P&C product development and market launches
• Strong knowledge of state-by-state P&C regulations
• Experience with claims processing and reinsurance transactions
• Juris Doctor degree or equivalent
• Licensed to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior in-house experience with an insurance carrier or reinsurer
• Familiarity with reinsurance deal execution and claims litigation
• Ability to work effectively in project-based, fast-paced environments
