Insurance Claims Representative

Responsibilities

• Perform audits of patient accounts to ensure accuracy and timely payment
• Follow up on insurance billing to ensure timely receipt of payments
• Resolve patient billing complaints and questions and initiate adjustments
• Review EOBs to ensure proper reimbursement and report payor trends
• Manage insurance claims including submissions, reconsiderations, appeals, and denial management
• Monitor patient account aging and follow up on delinquent payments
• Prepare write-off requests with appropriate documentation
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient account status and financial affairs

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 1+ years of experience
• Experience in medical billing, insurance processing, and balancing accounts
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for medical billing and coding
• Knowledge of CMS and payer regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Oncology billing experience
