Insulator

Responsibilities

• Install insulation on HVAC ductwork, chilled water pipes, refrigerant lines, and related equipment
• Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials such as glass wool, rock wool, foam, elastomeric, and calcium silicate
• Apply insulation cladding where required
• Seal joints, seams, and openings using tapes, adhesives, mastics, or sealants
• Read and interpret insulation drawings, isometric layouts, and specifications
• Ensure proper thickness, density, and coverage as per project requirements
• Carry out insulation removal, repair, and replacement when required
• Coordinate with HVAC technicians, pipe fitters, and supervisors
• Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of insulation materials
• Follow safety procedures, especially while handling fiberglass and working at heights

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in HVAC/industrial insulation
• Experience in HVAC / MEP / Oil & Gas insulation works
• ITI or relevant educational background
• Knowledge of insulation materials and application methods
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and work instructions
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, and finishing insulation work
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
