Instrument/Sterilizer Processor

Responsibilities

• Leak test, clean, and high-level disinfect endoscopes, TEE probes, and endocavitary probes
• Perform manual cleaning of endoscopes and disinfect accessory equipment
• Operate Automated Endoscope Reprocessors, ultrasound machines, leak testers, and automated HLD equipment
• Conduct quality control of detergents, chemicals, agents, and equipment
• Maintain accurate electronic and manual service records
• Stock department supplies and order items as needed
• Transport scopes for repair and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Demonstrated reprocessing competency or proof of completion of a scope reprocessing course with a certificate
• Ability to meet physical job requirements, including constant standing, twisting, pushing, and lifting

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience processing endoscopy equipment and instrumentation
• Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) or Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER)
