Instruments Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install and provide technical and breakdown cover for the full range of Essilor Instruments products
• Provide next-day service and prompt attention to minimize customer downtime
• Deliver installation and training assistance to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate records and provide monthly reporting to the Instruments Manager
• Conduct market assessments to identify customer needs and competitor activity
• Visit customers to assess ongoing technical issues and provide feedback for resolution

Requirements

• GCSE-level standard (or equivalent) in Maths and English
• Full UK driving licence
• Relevant industry or equipment experience
• Field-based optical experience
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Proficient knowledge of IT, networking, and connectivity
• Ability to work independently or within a small team under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of company products and systems
