Instrumentation/Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

• Support safe and reliable plant operations through troubleshooting, calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation, analyzers, control systems, and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose issues related to control loops, valves, and electrical systems up to 600V.
• Perform preventative maintenance across control systems, valves, and electrical distribution.
• Calibrate and test instruments and analyzers to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Work with higher-voltage equipment, including switchgear and breakers.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal engineering teams to guide on-site work.
• Utilize CMMS systems to track work orders and manage parts.
• Provide after-hours support and participate in planned or unplanned outages as required.

Requirements

• Instrumentation & Control Engineering Technologist diploma.
• Proven experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical equipment in an industrial setting.
• Proficiency with meters, calibration equipment, and electrical testing gear.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and single-line drawings.
• Experience working with HMIs and Allen Bradley PLCs or ControlLogix.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks such as lifting and climbing.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or after-hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical license or refrigeration certification.
