About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support Air Separation Plant operations by maintaining all plant instrumentation and electrical equipment, including control devices, PLCs, process computers, and analyzers.
  • Calibrate and test critical safety systems, equipment protection devices, and quality control components.
  • Troubleshoot and replace defective instrumentation such as actuators, regulators, solenoids, transmitters, switches, sensors, and analyzers.
  • Maintain plant PLCs by troubleshooting issues, replacing cards, and implementing logic changes.
  • Manage the instrumentation preventative maintenance work order system and ensure scheduled completion.
  • Order replacement parts, maintain critical spare parts inventory, and update control systems databases.
  • Plan and execute plant turnaround work in coordination with operations and maintenance teams.
  • Respond to after-hours service calls and travel to remote facilities as required.

Requirements

  • AEC or DEP in industrial automation.
  • Journeyman certificate in Industrial Instrumentation and/or Electrical.
  • 3–5 years of experience in an industrial plant environment.
  • Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and Rosemount instruments.
  • Ability to read and understand schematic wiring diagrams and process diagrams.
  • Experience with high/medium voltage switchgear and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb vertical ladders, and work in loud environments.
  • Ability to work extended hours, shift work, and travel 30–40% to Linde installations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the industrial gas or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with process, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
