About the role
Responsibilities
- Build custom cables and specialized wiring harnesses, including Lemo, D-Sub, and DTM cables
- Conduct functional testing and perform simple repairs on data acquisition boxes
- Execute testing procedures for pressure sensors and transducers
- Support custom vehicle builds by pulling and configuring engineering equipment in the lab
- Manage lab inventory by checking specialized tools and devices in and out
- Support lab sustainability efforts by recycling old cables, connectors, and components
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related technical field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Foundational understanding of the CAN bus protocol and data frames
- Entry-level understanding of wire terminations, soldering, and crimping techniques
- Basic grasp of data acquisition (DAQ) concepts and equipment
