Instrumentation Support Intern

Responsibilities

• Build custom cables and specialized wiring harnesses, including Lemo, D-Sub, and DTM cables
• Conduct functional testing and perform simple repairs on data acquisition boxes
• Execute testing procedures for pressure sensors and transducers
• Support custom vehicle builds by pulling and configuring engineering equipment in the lab
• Manage lab inventory by checking specialized tools and devices in and out
• Support lab sustainability efforts by recycling old cables, connectors, and components

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related technical field
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Foundational understanding of the CAN bus protocol and data frames
• Entry-level understanding of wire terminations, soldering, and crimping techniques
• Basic grasp of data acquisition (DAQ) concepts and equipment
