Instrumentation Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute instrumentation projects from conceptual engineering through detailed design, construction, and start-up.
• Provide technical support to refinery process areas, including scope development and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Perform specification and design of instrumentation, including sizing, selection, and datasheet development.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry standards, supporting process safety activities such as MOC, HAZOP, and LOPA.
• Manage multiple projects safely and efficiently, ensuring they remain within budget and on schedule.
• Support refinery Turnarounds (TAR) and maintenance outages by planning instrumentation scope and overseeing implementation.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including P&IDs, loop drawings, and logic diagrams.
• Evaluate new instrumentation technologies to support continuous improvement and measurement reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-degree instrumentation engineering experience in a refinery, chemical plant, or similar industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery, including a respirator.
• Ability to work available schedules (9/80 or 4/1) and support annual Turnarounds.
