About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute instrumentation projects from conceptual engineering through detailed design, construction, and start-up.
- Provide technical support to refinery process areas, including scope development and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Perform specification and design of instrumentation, including sizing, selection, and datasheet development.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards, supporting process safety activities such as MOC, HAZOP, and LOPA.
- Manage multiple projects safely and efficiently, ensuring they remain within budget and on schedule.
- Support refinery Turnarounds (TAR) and maintenance outages by planning instrumentation scope and overseeing implementation.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including P&IDs, loop drawings, and logic diagrams.
- Evaluate new instrumentation technologies to support continuous improvement and measurement reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-degree instrumentation engineering experience in a refinery, chemical plant, or similar industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery, including a respirator.
- Ability to work available schedules (9/80 or 4/1) and support annual Turnarounds.
