Instrumentation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage gas plant project instrumentation design, including P&ID and wiring/piping layout reviews
• Prepare specifications for instrumentation equipment (control valves, differential pressure gauges, analyzers, safety devices, etc.) and manage material procurement
• Oversee construction contractors and partners, providing site supervision and managing quality and safety
• Review hardware/software configurations and manage changes for DCS, PLC, and SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems)
• Perform loop testing, interlock logic verification, and commissioning for new or expanded facilities
• Develop commissioning procedures and testing schedules, and provide troubleshooting support during initial plant start-up

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in instrumentation engineering, plant construction, or commissioning
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control/Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience operating or managing DCS, PLC, and gas analyzers
• Hands-on experience leading loop testing and interlock verification during plant commissioning
• Expertise in selecting specifications and troubleshooting various instruments (Flow, Level, Pressure, Temperature, and Control Valves)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing the full lifecycle from construction to operation of industrial gas (ASU) or large-scale chemical process plants
• Previous experience working as a commissioning engineer within an EPC company
• Professional certifications in Chemical Safety, Gas, Electrical, or Control/Instrumentation engineering
