About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, inspect, calibrate, and repair plant instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Maintain industrial instruments and analyzers including transmitters, PLCs, meters, and automatic valves.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment below 600 volts, including motors, generators, and transformers.
- Read and maintain piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and schematic wiring diagrams.
- Perform lock-out tag-out procedures and issue permits for electrical work.
- Manage contractors to ensure safe and efficient completion of maintenance activities.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for planning, procurement, and documentation.
- Support root cause analysis for electrical system failures and execute small improvement projects.
- Perform work in various environments, including outdoors, at heights, or in confined spaces.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience in an industrial environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of chemical or industrial gas plant processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to be on-call 24/7 for plant emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of Hazardous Work Permits and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate in Applied Sciences Degree or equivalent apprenticeship.
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers and diagnostics.
- Experience with switchgear control systems and racking breakers.
