About the role

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, inspect, calibrate, and repair plant instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Maintain industrial instruments and analyzers including transmitters, PLCs, meters, and automatic valves.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment below 600 volts, including motors, generators, and transformers.
  • Read and maintain piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and schematic wiring diagrams.
  • Perform lock-out tag-out procedures and issue permits for electrical work.
  • Manage contractors to ensure safe and efficient completion of maintenance activities.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for planning, procurement, and documentation.
  • Support root cause analysis for electrical system failures and execute small improvement projects.
  • Perform work in various environments, including outdoors, at heights, or in confined spaces.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in an industrial environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of chemical or industrial gas plant processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to be on-call 24/7 for plant emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Work Permits and Management of Change (MOC) processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate in Applied Sciences Degree or equivalent apprenticeship.
  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers and diagnostics.
  • Experience with switchgear control systems and racking breakers.
