About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate I&C system builds, construction assistance, startup activities, and transition to sustaining operations for a semiconductor manufacturing facility.
- Partner with design firms, contractors, and vendors to ensure systems meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review design documents, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications to ensure alignment with constructability and operational needs.
- Support construction execution by responding to RFIs, participating in field coordination, and resolving technical issues.
- Coordinate commissioning, testing, and system validation activities to ensure reliable delivery of I&C systems.
- Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and lifecycle management plans for I&C assets.
- Ensure compliance with safety, electrical, and cybersecurity standards, including OSHA, NFPA 70, ISA, and IEC.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in I&C engineering, including design collaboration, construction support, or commissioning.
- Proficiency with PLCs, SCADA, DCS, industrial instrumentation, and field device integration.
- Working knowledge of industry standards such as ISA, IEC, NFPA, and OSHA.
- Ability to work 100% on-site in Clay, New York, with required relocation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting I&C systems in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or other high-tech industrial environments.
- Experience with BIM tools and workflows, including Revit and Navisworks.
- Knowledge of control system cybersecurity standards, such as IEC 62443.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies like IoT, smart manufacturing, and Industry 4.0.
