Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead controls architecture and execution for tenant programs and associated buildings
• Draft, develop, and maintain enterprise control standards including PLC code and SCADA UDT primitives
• Review design deliverables from internal teams and external partners for adherence to standards
• Provide technical support and guidance to tangential departments for lifecycle management
• Evaluate complex tenant requirements against established company standards
• Manage and develop Technicians and Engineers through structured On-the-Job Training
• Serve as the primary technical contact for client discussions regarding BMS and EPMS

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Instrumentation & Controls within data centers or large-scale industrial facilities
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent field experience)
• Expertise in Building Automation/Management Systems and Power Monitoring/SCADA systems
• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Ignition SCADA (Perspective)
• Strong understanding of MEP technical documentation including P&IDs, SOO, and Electrical One-Lines
• Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with MQTT-based Unified Namespace architectures
• Experience in mission-critical industries such as high-availability data centers
• Experience supporting commissioning programs (L3 to L5) at a campus scale
• Background in maintenance or facility operations
