About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead small-scale projects such as BMS subsystem retrofits or EPMS hardware/software deployments
  • Identify and resolve inefficiencies in BMS logic, power monitoring, and data polling
  • Support the delivery of full BMS and EPMS systems across campus buildings
  • Assist in commissioning (L3 to L5) of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Resolve technical issues including PID loops, BACnet bottlenecks, and communication breaks
  • Coordinate with mechanical and electrical trade partners and equipment manufacturers
  • Develop technical writing skills for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and MEP coordination

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Instrumentation & Controls or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with Building Automation/Management Systems or Power Monitoring/SCADA in data centers or industrial facilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
  • Understanding of MEP technical documentation including P&IDs, SOO, and Electrical One-Lines
  • Working knowledge of HVAC sequences and power monitoring hardware
  • Familiarity with Modbus (RTU/TCP), MQTT, and DNP3
  • Experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and Ignition SCADA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dual-discipline exposure to both BMS and EPMS
  • Familiarity with Ignition SCADA (Perspective) integration
  • Experience with mechanical assets (CRAH, chillers) and electrical assets (UPS, generators, switchgear)
  • Prior exposure to L3 to L5 commissioning processes
  • Experience contributing to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reporting
