Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and mentor others in the development of design basis, design plans, specifications, and O&M manuals
• Design, program, and build control panels, remote telemetry systems, and real-time data collection systems
• Provide engineering support for construction, operation, troubleshooting, and system optimization
• Prepare preliminary engineering reports and present design criteria for recommended solutions
• Communicate with regulatory personnel, permitting agencies, and clients to ensure compliance
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and long-term cost projections

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited college
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience with PLC and HMI programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, PanelView, C-more, etc.)
• Hands-on expertise in the design and installation of industrial control panels and motor control centers
• Proficiency in interpreting single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and electrical design documentation
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting equipment like multimeters and amp clamps
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering P.E. license or ability to obtain within 1 year
• Experience with Power BI data management
• Familiarity with UL-508A requirements
• Business development experience
