Instrument Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and overhaul instrumentation
• Assist with maintenance of computer and microprocessor systems associated with raw sewerage treatment
• Maintain indicating, recording, telemetering, and controlling instrumentation (electronic, mechanical, pneumatic)
• Utilize test equipment such as multi-meters for process instrument maintenance
• Work with engineers and vendors to install, test, and modify control systems
• Update operating and maintenance documentation

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Electronics Technology or demonstrated equivalent ability
• One to three years of experience in the electronics technology field
• Knowledge of advanced digital and analog electronics principles
• Ability to perform soldering and de-soldering
• Ability to read schematics and process/instrumentation drawings
• Proficiency with calibrating equipment and diagnostic tools
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microprocessor control systems and peripheral equipment
