Instrument Technician - CSSD

Responsibilities

• Support infection prevention and patient safety through the sterilization and disinfection of reusable medical devices
• Manage the collection, cleaning, decontamination, inspection, testing, packaging, and storage of medical equipment
• Support the theatre team through the efficient distribution of reusable medical devices
• Contribute to efficient workflow within the department and utilize available resources effectively
• Promote and participate in all required standards, quality activities, policies, and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum Sterilisation Services Certificate III or equivalent
• Proven experience working in a CSSD environment
• Competence in all areas of CSSD, including scopes and surgical loan instrument reprocessing
• Demonstrated knowledge of infection prevention and control practices related to sterilising services
• High level of understanding and ability to apply workplace OHS requirements
