Instrument Technician - CSSD

Responsibilities

• Support infection prevention and patient safety through the sterilization and disinfection of reusable medical devices
• Manage the collection, cleaning, decontamination, inspection, testing, packaging, and storage of medical equipment
• Contribute to efficient workflow within the CSSD department and utilize resources effectively
• Promote and participate in required standards, quality activities, policies, and procedures
• Support the theatre team through the timely distribution of reusable medical devices

Requirements

• Minimum Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or equivalent
• Proven experience working in a CSSD environment
• Competence in all areas of CSSD, including scopes and surgical loan instrument reprocessing
• Demonstrated knowledge of infection prevention and control practices
• Ability to apply workplace OHS requirements within sterilising services
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
