Instrument Reprocessing Technician

Responsibilities

• Sterilize and disinfect clinical instruments and equipment within the dental clinic dispensary
• Manage handpiece processing, including cleaning, lubricating, and steam sterilization
• Execute bur processing by using instrument washers and preparing burs for sterilization
• Perform cold disinfection processes, including managing disinfection baths and drying items
• Conduct instrument sterilization including autoclave testing, biological indicator testing, and chemical indicator testing
• Maintain clinic, X-ray rooms, and laboratory areas
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing, scrubbing, and rinsing

Requirements

• High school graduation
• Minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Additional training in a related field
• Commitment to enhancing awareness and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion
