About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support to site instrumentation and controls, including pneumatic and electrical devices.
- Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain site instrumentation, meters, transmitters, flowmeters, and control valves.
- Perform calibration, testing, adjustments, and documentation for instrumentation and ISO equipment.
- Review job packages, obtain work permits, and conduct required walkdowns with Operations to ensure safety.
- Conduct loop checks, identify operational variances, and update electrical drawings as needed.
- Analyze root causes of equipment issues and provide feedback to improve reliability and job plans.
- Complete digital work orders, calibration records, and SAP entries.
- Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Strong organizational, math, and computer skills.
- Effective written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a chemical plant environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP (S/4 HANA).
- Vocational or technical certificates relevant to instrumentation.
- Associate degree or higher in an instrumentation-related field.
