About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of maintenance tasks including electrical and mechanical work such as installation, fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting.
  • Work from schematics, prints, sketches, and written or verbal instructions to maintain plant equipment and facilities.
  • Perform work on energized lines and circuits with voltages ranging from 110V to 440V, and up to 12,500V at distribution equipment.
  • Operate specialized electrical diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and industrial machinery including grinders, rigging equipment, and voltmeters.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance, including hot cutovers and complex problem-solving for sensitive processes.
  • Coordinate maintenance projects, write work orders, and provide cross-training for other skilled trades.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a 2-year Electrical Associate Degree and at least 8,000 on-the-job hours, or more than 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
  • Must pass a "Fit for Duty" exam designed for the Instrument Electrician role.
