Instrument and Controls Technician

Responsibilities

• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely according to plant and corporate standards
• Troubleshoot and develop solutions for PLC controlled equipment, plant electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Analyze and repair systems to maintain process efficiency
• Interpret technical specifications including electrical schematics, PIDs, and interconnect diagrams
• Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance
• Coordinate with other technicians on equipment installation and maintenance
• Communicate with machine operators to detect and verify equipment malfunctions
• Provide guidance in machine setup, shutdown, calibration, and routine maintenance
• Collect and evaluate machine operating data for process optimization
• Train employees in equipment operation
• Support minor building, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Ability to pass background checks and obtain state badging for the cannabis industry
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive motions

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree or Technical School certification
• 3 years of experience maintaining manufacturing systems in an automated plant
• Knowledge of robotics, PLC programming, and SCADA applications
