About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Instrument & Analyzer Supervisors to maintain operational safety and availability.
- Manage the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance (PM) programs for site instrument and analyzer equipment.
- Collaborate with Reliability, Warehouse, and Planning departments to optimize spare parts and address bad actor equipment.
- Partner with Major Maintenance and Turnaround (TAR) groups to support shutdown work scopes.
- Promote a strong safety culture through regular field engagement, safety walks, and incident investigations.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in refinery standard practices and reliability initiatives.
- Foster professional development by maintaining personal development plans for direct reports.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 8 years of experience in Instrument and Analyzer systems within a petrochemical or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrument and analyzer equipment.
- Prior experience in a foreman or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in an industrial environment, including climbing ladders and working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a physical and hair drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience managing a unionized workforce.
- Experience utilizing CMMS software and SAP.
- Previous experience supporting production teams within Marathon.
