Instructor, Prelicensure Clinical

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert teaching and mentoring nursing students during experiential clinical coursework in an onsite environment.
• Act as a professional role model for students in communication, ethical comportment, and problem-solving.
• Foster student learning through innovative teaching practices and specialized instruction in clinical settings.
• Provide proactive support, outreach, and final review/approval for student clinical time.
• Communicate effectively with students, coaches, and preceptors regarding student progress and concerns.
• Utilize technology-based teaching and communication platforms to aid in competency development.
• Maintain a working knowledge of relevant state regulations and submit electronic student evaluations.

Requirements

• MSN degree (Master of Science in Nursing).
• Current, unencumbered RN license.
• Two years of relevant professional nursing experience.
• Ability to travel up to 20%, including attendance at designated company summits.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree in a specific content area.
• Prior experience in clinical teaching or nursing education.
• Strong experience with distance education and distance learning students.
• Applicable advanced licenses or certifications.
