Instructor Pilot

Responsibilities

• Lead flight instruction to military air vehicle operators (AVO), including pre-flight briefings, in-flight guidance, and postflight debriefings
• Direct the development and updates of training curricula, lesson plans, and instructional materials
• Conduct simulator-based training sessions for various flight scenarios and emergencies
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and aviation best practices
• Evaluate AVO performance through flight assessments, examinations, and proficiency checks
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, and weapons systems
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to AVOs
• Maintain accurate records of training activities and student progress

Requirements

• Current or previous qualification on the specific aircraft type(s) being instructed
• High School/GED with 10+ years experience, Bachelor's with 6+ years, or Master's with 4+ years
• 2 years of Lead Management experience at the company level of a DoS or DoD contract
• Extensive flight experience as a military pilot
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required
• FAA Class II medical certificate
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in aviation, aerospace engineering, or a related field
• Current FAA or military pilot certifications (commercial pilot license, instrument rating)
• Previous experience as a certified flight instructor (CFI) or military flight instructor
• Experience with U.S. Department of State (DoS) or Department of Defense (DoD) contracts
