Instructor or Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credit hours per academic year, including lectures and laboratory courses in General and Organic Chemistry
• Manage classrooms, perform student assessments, and maintain professional standards of practice
• Mentor students in senior research or capstone experiences
• Provide academic advising and tutoring to support student success
• Participate in professional development, scholarship, and undergraduate research promotion
• Serve on various committees within the School, College, and Faculty Senate

Requirements

• MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
• Teaching experience in Chemistry or an associated field
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
• Comparable teaching experience at the college level
