About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide studio voice instruction to students of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced singers
- Specialize in teaching musical theater and popular music stylings
- Conduct thirteen weekly one-hour lessons per student per semester
- Organize and oversee one student studio recital at the conclusion of each semester
- Develop course syllabi and manage student grading within appropriate timeframes
- Consult with students regarding course content and vocal development
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant field is required
- Demonstrated specialization in musical theater
- Strong pedagogical skills and ability to teach diverse skill levels
- Proficiency in piano skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in a relevant field
- Ability to teach various popular music stylings
