The Middlebury College Summer Arabic School offers a distinctive eight-week intensive curriculum that integrates cultural immersion with rigorous daily classroom instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive daily classroom instruction in Arabic
• Participate in residential life, dining, and co-curricular programming
• Engage in a community of educators and learners using an all-Arabic environment

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a relevant field (DML, ABD, M.A., or B.A. with substantial experience considered)
• Significant experience teaching Arabic in American higher education institutions
• Expertise in teaching Arabic as a second or foreign language
• Knowledge of pedagogical approaches to Arab culture and society
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
