Instructor, Nursing

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach Nursing Program courses and laboratories in accordance with college and state requirements
• Develop curricula and design teaching strategies to assist students in meeting course objectives
• Publish syllabi through the College Learning Management System (LMS)
• Plan, supervise, and evaluate clinical experiences for nursing students
• Evaluate student achievement and progress, providing input to program administrators
• Direct and supervise the activities of teaching assistants or adjunct instructors when utilized
• Provide student advising, curriculum development, and assessment activities during required office hours
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and campus committees

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Master's degree with a previous BSN
• Two or more years of experience in nursing practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Current, valid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio or a valid Multi-State license
• Knowledge of nursing accrediting bodies appropriate to nursing education programs
• Proficiency in delivering instruction via distance education and accommodating academic schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience at a two-year college level
