Instructor, Nurse Aide

Responsibilities

• Provide competency-based quality instruction for Nurse Aide programs in classroom, lab, and clinical settings
• Develop and utilize various instructional strategies and delivery methods to meet diverse learning styles
• Prepare lecture, lab, and class materials, and maintain current course syllabi and outlines
• Monitor, evaluate, and document student attendance, progress, and competency attainment
• Advise students regarding academic needs and refer them to additional assistance as required
• Participate in curriculum development, committee work, and program recruitment efforts
• Maintain established office hours and assist students outside of the classroom

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current RN License
• Three years of nursing work experience
• BCLS certification
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated effectiveness working with diverse populations and varied cultures

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of long-term care experience
• Ability to use and apply alternative instructional delivery systems to enhance learning
• Experience in curriculum development and learning assessment
