Instructor, Leadership, Policy, and Human Development

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and doctoral-level courses in areas such as leadership, human development, organizational change, and applied research
• Support practice-based learning experiences and applied leadership development for working professionals
• Engage in course development and curricular revision to ensure alignment with state guidelines and research-informed practices
• Advise and support graduate students in alignment with program expectations
• Collaborate with faculty on program design, assessment, and continuous improvement efforts
• Participate in department and college meetings to contribute to a collaborative academic culture

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Child Development, Human Development, Organizational Leadership, or a closely related field
• Experience teaching or mentoring graduate students or adult learners
• Demonstrated commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive teaching practices
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively across academic units

Preferred Qualifications

• Earned doctorate (or ABD) in a related field
• Experience teaching in graduate or doctoral programs
• Experience with cohort-based and/or online program delivery
• Experience in school, district, or organizational leadership roles
• Familiarity with performance-based assessments (e.g., CalAPA) or accreditation processes
• Experience supervising fieldwork or mentoring aspiring leaders
