About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach graduate and doctoral-level courses in areas such as leadership, human development, organizational change, and applied research
- Support practice-based learning experiences and applied leadership development for working professionals
- Engage in course development and curricular revision to ensure alignment with state guidelines and research-informed practices
- Advise and support graduate students in alignment with program expectations
- Collaborate with faculty on program design, assessment, and continuous improvement efforts
- Participate in department and college meetings to contribute to a collaborative academic culture
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Child Development, Human Development, Organizational Leadership, or a closely related field
- Experience teaching or mentoring graduate students or adult learners
- Demonstrated commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive teaching practices
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively across academic units
Preferred Qualifications
- Earned doctorate (or ABD) in a related field
- Experience teaching in graduate or doctoral programs
- Experience with cohort-based and/or online program delivery
- Experience in school, district, or organizational leadership roles
- Familiarity with performance-based assessments (e.g., CalAPA) or accreditation processes
- Experience supervising fieldwork or mentoring aspiring leaders
