Instructor in Biology, Plant Biology

Responsibilities

• Teach one upper-level Plant Biology lecture and laboratory course during the Fall 2026 semester
• Provide student support and availability for approximately three hours per week outside of scheduled course time
• Maintain laboratory resources, including specimens and models, necessary for the course
• Manage course inventory, including ordering supplies and equipment
• Collaborate with the Department Chair and other faculty to develop and maintain the course
• Write student letters of recommendation when appropriate

Requirements

• Postgraduate professional or academic degree (Master's or Doctorate) in hand or expected by Fall 2026
• Demonstrated interest and potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching
• Experience working with diverse academic populations and a commitment to inclusive learning environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Successful previous teaching experience at the college level
