Instructor - General Studies

Responsibilities

• Teach courses within the General Studies Program on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis
• Deliver instruction to students within the Division of Interdisciplinary and General Studies
• Manage teaching responsibilities up to a maximum of nine credit hours per semester
• Engage with students to support academic success within the General Studies curriculum

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Humanities, Sciences, Education, or a related field
• In rare cases where an exception can be justified on academic grounds, significant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a master's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Competency in adult education and mentoring
• Experience in curriculum development and customization
• Ability to bridge academic concepts with practical work experience
• Experience with prior learning and portfolio evaluation
