About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach preclinical curriculum sessions, including classroom activities, small group sessions, and skills-based training.
  • Instruct students in communication, patient interviewing, physical examination, and clinical reasoning.
  • Provide assessment, rating, and feedback for clinical skills.
  • Participate in weekly service within a medical clinic.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, research, and the development of projects for publication or national presentation.
  • Contribute to college and university committees and professional organizations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in the NEOMED MD program in good standing or a recent graduate of the NEOMED MD program.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an academic setting.
  • Strong motivation and ambition to pursue a career in academic medicine.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in peer tutoring or teaching.
