Instructor/Assistant Professor of Orchestra & Jazz

Responsibilities

• Direct the Chamber Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble
• Provide instruction in areas such as applied lessons or General Education courses based on expertise
• Recruit talented music majors and non-majors to the program
• Advise music majors and develop relationships with regional music educators
• Participate in faculty governance and student mentoring through the Employment Experiences program
• Support the mission, vision, and values of Bethel College

Requirements

• MM or MMEd degree required
• Demonstrated experience leading instrumental ensembles (orchestra and/or jazz preferred)
• Qualifications to teach music education courses

Preferred Qualifications

• DMA or Ph.D. in music
