Instructional Technologist

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and delivery of instructional materials for in-residence, hybrid, and distance-learning courses
• Collaborate with faculty to incorporate instructional technologies that enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement
• Provide training, guidance, and troubleshooting for instructional technology tools and platforms
• Assist with the implementation of learning technologies aligned with adult learning principles and evidence-based instructional practices
• Support quality assurance processes to ensure instructional materials meet academic, usability, and accessibility standards
• Maintain documentation, resources, and best-practice guides for faculty and staff

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in instructional design and instructional technology
• Experience supporting both in-residence and distance-learning environments
• BA/BS degree in education, instructional design, instructional technology, or a related discipline
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience partnering with faculty to integrate instructional technologies into course design
• Understanding of adult learning theories, especially within STEM disciplines
• Experience providing training, workshops, or one-on-one support for instructional technology tools
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
