About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, plan, and evaluate nursing classroom instruction and curriculum development
- Teach courses in specialized areas including Maternal Health, Community Health, Pediatrics, and Medical/Surgical nursing
- Provide clinical instruction and supervision to students
- Evaluate student performance based on course syllabi and provide timely grading and progress reports
- Provide academic advising and maintain regular office hours for student support
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and university-wide events
- Support the University mission, vision, and values through teaching and service
- Assist in the assessment of departmental learning outcomes
Requirements
- Graduate degree or terminal degree in a relevant nursing subject
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals
- Demonstrated commitment to collegiality and problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral or terminal degree in a relevant field
