Instructional Designer ELA/SLA

Responsibilities

• Design, storyboard, and develop digital curriculum assets including videos, eBooks, interactives, simulations, and games using a UBD process.
• Contribute to implementation models, journey maps, course maps, and the creation of prototypes and POCs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (content, product management, UX, and creative media) to ensure product requirements and schedules are met.
• Manage external vendors and freelancers by writing guidelines, scheduling meetings, and performing QA on their work.
• Support digital launches by creating templates, trackers, and content development guidelines.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical bugs and enhancements within authoring tools and platforms.
• Ensure all digital assets meet high accessibility standards throughout the development process.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in digital content development, specifically involving teaching and learning materials.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish with the ability to make informed translation decisions and quality-check Spanish content.
• Experience with Spanish editorial processes.
• Experience using authoring tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines and budgets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous K-5 teaching experience.
• Ability to create and visualize animated and interactive content.
