Instructional Assistant, Data Center

Responsibilities

• Assist the Technical Instructor with delivering a structured, approved curriculum focused on data center skills
• Support remote classroom facilitation in an interactive, hands-on style
• Enforce and model appropriate remote classroom decorum and professionalism
• Take and track daily learner attendance in Salesforce and/or LMS
• Coordinate with the Instructor to prepare lab tools and resources in advance of sessions
• Lead instructor-approved study groups based on learner performance and needs
• Provide one-on-one tutoring and support for learners who are struggling
• Monitor learner engagement and collaborate with instructors and coaches to provide support
• Assist with learner progress tracking, grading, and real-time data entry in Salesforce or Canvas

Requirements

• Graduate of a Per Scholas training program (preferred)
• CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Network+ certification (or equivalent)
• Foundational understanding of networking fundamentals (OSI model, IP addressing, routing/switching)
• Knowledge of PC hardware architecture (BIOS/UEFI, RAM, CPU, storage)
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux environments
• Proficiency in Linux CLI
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs
• Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware or VirtualBox
• Experience using LMS tools such as Canvas, Salesforce, or Zoom
