Instructional Assistant (Critical Environments)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Critical Facility Instructor in delivering instructor-led training for data center environments
• Support instruction in electrical distribution, UPS systems, backup generators, and cooling systems
• Facilitate hands-on lab exercises while enforcing OSHA and NFPA safety practices
• Evaluate student troubleshooting performance using scenario-based diagnostics
• Maintain student records, grades, and attendance in Salesforce and LMS platforms
• Provide feedback to curriculum development teams on lab effectiveness and content clarity

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of experience as a Critical Facility Engineer or Technician in data centers
• 1-3 years of experience teaching technical subjects to technicians or operators
• Proficiency in electrical systems, UPS, backup power, and industrial HVAC/cooling systems
• Understanding of industrial safety standards including OSHA, NFPA 70E, and LOTO
• Fluency in using Generative AI tools for instructional preparation
• Ability to interpret technical documentation such as schematics and P&IDs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA, BMS, or DCIM monitoring systems
• Industry certifications such as OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, or Electrical/HVAC certifications
• Experience delivering competency-based or hands-on technical training
