Institutional Research Analyst

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and perform quality assurance on institutional reports using data visualization techniques to track key performance indicators.
• Maintain internal student information datasets and dashboard reports to support institutional planning and accountability.
• Design and implement survey research methodologies, including tool development, implementation, and analysis.
• Support academic program accreditation and institutional assessment through data collection and interpretation.
• Analyze external data sources (e.g., IRCC, BC Labour Market Outlook) to inform internal stakeholder decision-making.
• Assist with new academic program proposals by presenting data on labor market demand, competition, and demographic trends.
• Maintain student career outcome and satisfaction databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or Psychology).
• 3+ years of experience in institutional research, business analytics, enrollment management, or a similar data-driven role.
• Proficiency with Tableau and Tableau Prep for data visualization and preparation.
• Strong statistical skills with proficiency in R for Statistics.
• Advanced experience with MS Excel and MS Power BI.
• Experience with enterprise data management and quality assurance processes.
• Knowledge of survey research design and platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey).
• Canadian residency or a valid work permit is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience with Ellucian Colleague or similar enterprise systems.
• Experience with statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, or STATA.
• Experience using time-management software like Asana.
